Swim with Manatees

Swim with Manatees

Join us for a three-hour swimming experience with manatees in the federally protected waters of Florida’s Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, often referred to as the "manatee capital of the world." This title is due to the record number of wintering manatees and the year-round manatee population in the area.

Discover the thrill and challenge of Tree Hoppers Aerial Adventure Park, nestled in a beautiful old Florida forest. Tree Hoppers features 10 courses, with over 100 unique elements, including bridges, ladders, and zip lines. These elements create a series of climbing adventures that guide you through the trees.

Learn to Surf with EZride Surf School

Join us for a private chartered fishing trip with Hubbard’s Marina, recognized by USA Today as one of the 10 best fishing charters of 2024. Our excursion lasts five hours and takes place in waters 5 to 15 miles off the coast. You can expect to catch snapper, grouper, porgies, black seabass, kingfish, and mackerel. Everything needed for this trip will be provided for you including rod, reel, bait, and tackle.

Equipment Checkout

The Wellness Center’s equipment checkout program allows students to plan their own outdoor recreation adventures while staying on budget!

Equipment will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring your valid 51±¾É« ID to check out equipment at the wellness center front desk. 

Although these services are free to students, charges will apply if equipment is damaged or lost.

Please call or stop by to be sure equipment is available and to arrange a time to discuss the safe use and care of the equipment.

Sporting equipment, tailgate games and hammocks may be checked out for 48 hours at a time. Camping equipment may be checked out for 72 hours. If an extension is needed, please contact the membership services coordinator.
